01 — THE BASICS

The basics.

Q.01What is FicLog, in one sentence?+
A personal reading tracker for fanfiction across the sites you read on — chapter-level progress, private notes, and stats that don't shame you.
Q.02Is FicLog free?+
Yes — up to 100 fics in your library, forever, no card required. Beyond that, Premium is $3.99/month or $34.99/year (about $2.92/mo — 27% off the monthly price) and lifts the limit.
Q.03Do I need an account?+
Yes — a free FicLog account, so your library syncs across your phone, tablet and the browser extension. Sign up with email, or sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook.
Q.04Which platforms?+
iOS and Android, plus a browser extension — Chrome, Edge and Brave today; Firefox and Safari in progress. Your library syncs across all of them.
Q.05Is this an app for reading fic, or for tracking it?+
Tracking. The reading still happens on the source site — FicLog can open it inside the app and remember where you stopped, but it doesn't host or rehost anything. It just makes tracking it, and finding it again, civilized.
02 — LIBRARY & SOURCES

Library & sources.

Q.01Does FicLog host the fics?+
No. We pull metadata and link back to the source. The work itself stays on AO3, Wattpad, Royal Road, wherever it lives — authors keep all the credit and traffic.
Q.02What if a fic is locked or deleted?+
Your metadata, notes and chapter progress stay in your library. You'll see a flag that the source isn't reachable — your private notes are not lost.
Q.03Can I add fics that aren't on the supported sites?+
Yes. Paste any URL — we try OpenGraph and microdata. If that doesn't work, you get a manual entry form: title, author, word count, your call.
Q.04Which sites get the one-click extension?+
AO3, FanFiction.net, Wattpad, Royal Road and Quotev. On those, Premium users can also bulk-import bookmark and reading lists with the extension.
Q.05Does the browser extension track me?+
No. It only activates on the supported domains, and it sends nothing about your browsing to us — only the fic you choose to save.
03 — PRIVACY & DATA

Privacy & data.

Q.01Where is my data stored?+
On our servers, so it can sync across your devices — and cached on each device so the app works offline. We don't sell it, lease it, or use it to train anything.
Q.02Will you ever sell my data?+
No. Not to advertisers, not to AI training, not to anyone. It's in our terms.
Q.03Can I export my library?+
Premium users can export the whole library as a CSV from Settings, anytime.
Q.04Can I delete everything?+
One tap in Settings → Delete account. Server-side data is gone within 72 hours. Local data goes when you delete the app.
04 — BILLING

Billing.

Q.01Can I switch between monthly and annual?+
Yes — change it in Settings; the new plan applies at your next renewal.
Q.02Refunds?+
Subscriptions are billed through our payment provider. If something's gone wrong, email us — we'll sort it out.
Q.03What happens if my subscription ends?+
You go back to the free tier. Nothing is deleted — if you're over 100 fics, the library still works, you just can't add new ones until you renew.
Q.04Do you offer referrals?+
Yes. Invite a friend; when they subscribe you get 30 days of Premium (up to 180 days total), and they get 25% off their first year.
05 — ABOUT US

About us.

Q.01Who makes FicLog?+
Two people, in Bucharest. One of us is the fic reader — five-hundred-some fics deep, currently writing one of her own — who worked out what the app needed and how it should behave, and tests every build. The other writes the code.
Q.02Why does FicLog exist?+
Because one of us read a lot of fanfiction across a lot of sites and was tired of losing track of it — the spreadsheet, the bookmarks folder named fics_final_REAL, the opinions stuck in a Discord DM with herself. So the other one built the thing she described.
Q.03How do I contact you?+
hello@ficlog.app — we read every email. Press, partnerships, support, bug reports: same address. If you're reporting a bug, include the build number from Settings → About.
